One reason as to why some people have mental issues.

People often end up in stressful situations whereby they may find sleep very elusive, and as a result end up having sleepless nights. This can easily drain the brain of energy resulting in mental illnesses.
If for some reason you have to stay up at night, don't believe that if you were to eat during the night you end-up putting weight on. If your body is "awake" for both night and day, then you probably need twice the amount of calories that a normal person can get by with. I had to learn this the hard way as I am the first and only true 24/7 individual.
Things have been going beautifully once I learnt this bit of common sense. So these days, although I do rest for a while at night to fight gravity, I also get up at regular intervals to have some coffee and sandwiches - as well as some other foods I might like! This is crucial for the body's wellbeing.
